Teamspeak overlay

TeamSpeak 3 Installation
The URL for downloading TeamSpeak 3 is http://teamspeak.com/?page=downloads

Once the download has completed, please make sure the SWTOR is closed and follow the directions to install the program.

TeamSpeak 3 Configuration
Open TeamSpeak and complete the steps in the Setup Wizard.


TeamSpeak 3 Overlay
Please see "Overwolf", above, before installing. Click Settings -> Plugins -> and check TeamSpeak 3 Overlay Plugin. Click Settings for the TeamSpeak 3 Overlay Plugin, Input, Set Hotkey (one option is to use CTRL+Shift), click OK and then Close. Exit TeamSpeak completely and then reload TeamSpeak, as this is required to load the plugin.

Push to Talk
We ask that everyone that connects to the TeamSpeak server us Push to Talk.
Click Settings -> Options -> Capture -> Push-To-Talk and assign a Hotkey.

Channel Switching
Click Settings -> Options -> Hotkeys -> Add -> Show Advanced Actions -> Switch to Channel. Now double-click on Switch to Next Channel (Global), assign a hotkey (one option is to use CTRL+down arrow key) and click OK.

Click Add -> Show Advanced Actions -> Switch to Channel. Now double-click on Switch to Previous Channel (Global), assign a hotkey (one option is to use CTRL+up arrow key) and click OK. Click OK once more to exit the Options menu.

Connecting to TeamSpeak 3
Quick Connect: Press CTRL+S, enter the Server Address found in game by pressing "G" (default key for the guild pane), click Details (upper-right) and look at the Description (bottom-right). Enter the Nickname that you would like to use in TeamSpeak and click Connect.
Bookmarks: Press CTRL+B and click Add Bookmark. Enter a Label for this connection. The Address found in game by pressing "G" (default key for the guild pane), click Details (upper-right) and look at the Description (bottom-right). Enter the Nickname that you would like to use in TeamSpeak and click OK. To connect, click Bookmarks and the Label that you just created.
Using bookmarks allows you to have multiple connections configured in TeamSpeak, if you connect to different servers.

It is recommended to run TeamSpeak minimized, or to tray, once you have connected to reduce the amount of CPU usage that TeamSpeak uses.

Miscellaneous

Once you get onto the character selection screen of SWTOR, press your hotkey combination used for the Overlay Plugin to see if it is working properly.

If you need to switch channels while in game, press the Overlay Plugin hotkey combination to see which channel you are in and which one you move to when changing channels.

TeamSpeak 3 Overlay Troubleshooting
Follow the above steps to see if this is required for your installation.

Step 1: Run TeamSpeak 3 as an administrator. If this does not resolve the issue, then run the program normally.

Step 2: Go to http://ts3overlay.r-dev.de/ and download one of the latest plugins.

Step 3: Click Settings -> Plugins -> TeamSpeak 3 Overlay Plugin -> Settings -> Enforce loading -> OK -> Close

If you are running the program normally, and the overlay still does not appear in game, try running TeamSpeak 3 as an administrator.

If none of the above steps work, then it is recommended to do a fresh installation, which includes removing your configuration. Prior to doing a fresh installation, make sure you back up your identity(ies).
Your identity contains any permission(s) that have been assigned to you on the server.

How to Backup Your Identity(ies)
Settings -> Identities -> select the individual identity(ies) -> Export and save the file.

How to Restore Your Identity(ies)
Settings -> Identities -> Import -> select your identity(ies) and import them.
