502 Bad Gateway

I have been getting 502 Bad Gateway trying to log into the system lately. 

Yes, this keeps happening to us also, so can we get some reasons why and what the fix will be?

It seems to be service wide.

That and an expired certificate -- do GL admin not get some sort of warning this is going to happen - or perhaps it's something they can get a subscription for ;-)

oh god these forums are annoying .. I've just spent ages trying to simply paste in an image of the expired certificate snip.  Apparently I can't just paste an image.  I also can't save an image to my hard drive and then upload it, because that's an "invalid json" .. so I thought that's okay, I'll upload it to my google drive and link it from there .. but apparently google drive doesn't let you do that.  Why are things so hard?!

I have seen the 502 error on login a small handful of times as well. It's not behaving in a way that makes it easy to track down the cause. I hope I see it again soon so I can go dig through logs and see if I can make sense of it.

I've been getting the bad gateway error without getting access to the site at all.  I try to load the page and that's all I get.  Having said that .. I don't think it's happened for the last couple of days .. I just assumed there was some maintenance happening.

We use gamerlaunch and have for years to get apps from recruits and no one trusts the site to go to it now.  Does this site offer any support anymore?

This security certificate thing now scares people away and people think we are hackers. 

If you'd looked at the post only a couple above yours, you would have seen that support are dealing with it currently.

It does happen occasionally and I don't know why it doesn't get automatically re-certified or whatever it's called, but you can either ask new applicants to wait a day or so until GL get it sorted, or you can reassure them that, assuming you've not actually put anything on your site that would warrant the concern, your site is fine, and it's just a technical issue.  You can still access your site, you just have to tell your browser that the site is okay, first.

We've had multiple applications over the last few days .. the most recent was yesterday, and no-one has mentioned any problem getting onto the site.  The only query we had was one who didn't realise the distinction between registering for GL and applying to our guild.
